CHILDREN'S WORLD

For quite sometime now, I have wanted to devolop a blog for children. Initially, the thought was to create recipes for children. But now, I think that is too restrictive; "Children are our future" and so I will develop it as I go along.

Kindly let me know of material or links that you think would be good to include here.

CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE

"CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE"

Mohandas Ghandi, political and spiritual leader in India

"If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children."

Nelson Mandela, former president of South Africa

"There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children."

John W. Whitehead, Founder, Rutherford Institute

"Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see."

வானவில்லை ஒத்த சிறுவன் கைவண்ணம் கண்டோம் !

Aha athputham acharyam.
Today was a refreshing day after a long time!

I opened the window by about 7.30 p.m. and to my utter surprise saw a bright wide rainbow arching the view field of our window! It was a sight to behold! Not only that we were blessed with a secondary rainbow as well by Mother Nature!

This was the second surprise. Earlier at the temple, I saw this 13 year old kid, K. Sathyanarayanan, pretty much like how Mandolin U. Srininvas was when he was that age, give an electrifying performance on the ELECTRIC KEYBOARD. Yes! An off-the-shelf instrument under this genius handling turned into an amazingly gamaka tuned violin-to-mandolin-to-electric guitar transition, effortlessly. He was accompanied by Embar Kannan (also his maternal uncle) on an electric violin (it is a physically half of a violin that is open, and gives no sound if not amplified.) and very well accomodated mridangam. It was a treat to hear: "vanaththin meethu mayiladak kaNdEn.." also very well suited to bring out the range of the instrument and Vandanamu Ragunandana among other krithis.

So this kind of happens rarely. Manasu niranju irukkunu sOllalaam.
